This beautiful weather is known to motivate us to break out our to-do-list and get a fresh start in various areas of our lives.The Spring season is known for its beautiful weather.  If you did not do this, now is the perfect time to get motivated and finish up your to-do-list before Summer arrives!

Below is a list of 20 things to do before Spring ends.

  1. Start an Herb Garden

Choose the location you’re going to start your herb garden. Loosen up the soil to prepare the planting area. Dig your plant holes, and add the plants or seeds to the soil. Some suggested herbs are:

  • Sage
  • Basil
  • Lavender
  • Oregano
  • Parsley
  • Sweet marjoram
  • Cilantro
  • Chives
  • Common thyme
  • Rosemary

Once you’ve planted your herbs, label them and surround them with flowering plants. Then be sure you water them regularly.

  1. Spring Clean Your Wardrobe

Sort through all your clothing. It’s quite convenient to do this while you’re transitioning seasons in the closet. While you’re packing away your winter sweaters, consider which ones you didn’t really wear this past winter, and donate them.  Do the same as you’re hanging up your spring clothing. Having a lighter wardrobe in your closet will help you feel less overwhelmed and more organized.

  1. Spring Clean Your Bedding

Your mattress and memory foam pillows also need air and light from time to time. It is always recommended to put them out in your garden or on a window to freshen up the pillows and mattress.

  1. Go to Yard Sales

Yard sales are a fun way to get outdoors and do a little shopping for bargains. You may want to de-clutter your home, and eliminate unnecessary things first before you bring new things into your home.

  1. Decorate Your Home for Spring

Bring spring indoors. Why not bring some of it into your home with spring decorations? Go bright. Add some white to the color scheme you have presently. This will both brighten and cool the look of your home, and add some freshness into it. Paint your focal wall in a brighter, sunnier, or lighter shade of the wall color you have currently. Bring some nature indoors, too. Add floral print fabric to your rooms. Use your rooms’ primary colors when choosing things like:

  1. Clean Your Mattress

A mattress is a sound investment in great sleep for many years. Chances are, you spend around one-third of every day in your bed. By cleaning it and taking care of it properly, your mattress can last you far longer than the warranty you received on it. Be sure to clean the memory foam pillows and bedding as well.

If you have an older mattress, consider replacing it with an organic latex mattress, made with pure organic materials, no chemicals, non-toxic and hypoallergenic. Also, consider organic bed sheets as well. These items with provide you with comfortable and healthy sleep for many years to come.

  1. Take a Cooking Class

Find a cooking class that will incorporate fresh ingredients, or search for some spring recipes you can make at home. Eating or preparing season relevant foods is a great way to get into the spring spirit.

  1. Eat Fresh Fruits and Veggies

Go to your local farmers market, and try some seasonal vegetables and fruits. Nothing expresses springtime more than fresh strawberries. Plus, spring is the peak season for fresh veggies and fruits.

  1. De-clutter

Spring is the perfect time to go around your home, and get rid of things you’re not using. Get rid of the old pillows and bring in the new memory foam pillows for your neck and back pain issues.  This includes things stored in your basement, attic, or garage that you’ll “someday” need.

  1. Redecorate Your Space

Spring is a great time for revamping your space, since it inspires an air of renewal. Consider hanging up some new photos, repainting your rooms with a fresher color, or simply rearranging your furniture. Any effort you put into redecorating a space will make it feel completely different, which may just shake those winter blues off.

  1. Take a Hike at Night

Take a nighttime hike with your loved one, pet, or a friend. It’s the perfect way to get outdoors. Nighttime can really make an expansive view look more beautiful. If you live in a city that doesn’t have any hiking trails, simply check out the scenic view from a skyrise building or lookout point.
